What does EatMatrix scan?
EatMatrix uses your iPhone camera to read a food label and show ingredient information in the app. Start with a clear ingredient list and check the result against the physical label.
Can I look up an ingredient before subscribing?
Yes. The website’s additive catalogue is free to browse. The example on this page links to a real catalogue entry. Scanning in the iPhone app requires an account and subscription; review the current plans and any trial offered in the app before purchasing.
Does the website example scan my food?
No. It is an illustrative label excerpt that shows how an ingredient name and E number lead to the same entry. It does not use your camera, accept a photo or analyse a real product.
What should I do after installing?
Create or sign in to your EatMatrix account, review the subscription options, then use a clear food label for your first scan. Read the ingredient information and compare the recognised ingredients with the label.
